25 years since the introduction of ESP

The ESP (Electronic Stability Program) was first introduced by Bosch on Mercedes Benz S Classe in 1995. The system can help drivers avoid up to 80% of incidents related to the loss of vehicle stability.

In the EU, all new models of passenger cars and commercial vehicles built after November 2011, have to be equipped with ESP as standard.

ESP is one of the inventions that shaped the face of the auto industry and helped save countless lives.
