POD (Peak Oil Demand) is already here?

OPEC is is predicting POD in early 2040's and IEA (International Energy Agency) in the mid 2030's.

Out of the total world oil consumption, 55% is burned by land transport.

Electrification is at the beginning and the speed of adoption will determine the POD.

With world GDP increase, more and more people will afford to buy goods and services.

This, will cascade into an increase of goods movements that will further increase the need of transport.

The infrastructure needed for electrification is far from what should be and the electric technology itself needs more time to develop, especially on HCV.

Most probably, the POD will be somewhere between mid 2030's and mid 2040's.
